Eternaltwin

This Month In Eternaltwin #23

Eternaltwin is a project with the goal to preserve Motion Twin's games and player communities.

Eternaltwin

We're continuing work on the system to notify apps of user data changes. There was some very good progress: the feature should be ready in May.

On April 10th 2026, we had our Eternaltwin Council #2. The main topics were moderation and support. Some games may get new moderators. There's also a larger volume of support tickets, but so far it feels manageable. We also noticed a large amount of abuse on some games and will deploy systems to prevent it. As a reminder: you are only allowed to have a single user account and no automation/scripting is allowed.

KadoKadéo

The major update for the games was released a little bit earlier than planned, there's a lot of new features!

First of all, the "new" games - besides Kaskade, Opalus, Interwheel, and K-Slash!, there's now a few more playble games: Starfang, Iron Chouquette, Popcorn, Atlantéine, Kanji, F1 Champion, Zip Zap, Synapses, Piou-Piou, and Chocomouche.

The replay system not yet 100% reliable, there are still some differences between devices. We're still working on getting it stable before moving to other games. (There's still XinXiang and ABC Révolution in progress, they should be released soon). Some tests are in progress to make it more reliable.

On an other topic, a few games are now playable on mobile thanks to an overlay for games using keys, or directly through touch for point-and-click games. This system is is also being tested and is not yet definitive. There are some issues with long proesses and contextual menus on mobile.

There were also various improvements for development speed, but nothing too visible for players yet.

Soon, we'll release a website update as there are not many features there yet.

Still, a lot of you played already and we have some scores close to the world records, in particular for Iron Chouquette. The improved performance enables nice scores.

We're thinking about a mode for events, as in "fun" events with special changes to games. For example, playing to Starfang without any bonuses, or to Interwheel without any pill. Please share your ideas, it may help with our motivation!

As always, we're looking for help with development/porting of games. If this is something you're interested in and you have a background in dev, feel free to reach out!

eMush

Big changes are coming to eMush! The 42nd floor took his first decision radically rebalancing the game between mushs and humans: the two showers can't be removed now, to prevent excessive monitoring of their access. The goal is to see if allowing mushes to shower more easily and etract spores will make the game more focused on the slow contamination instead of rapid and explosive contaminations.

There was a second change: instead of a daily spike use reset at midgnight, the 42nd floor decided on a 4-cycle timeout between two uses. The goal is also to enable slower contamination and ramp up the pressure on the human team while allowing them to investigate the source of the contamination.

This updated also impacted the Infector skill, which allowed attacking two times in the same day, and contaminate humans faster. In the original Twinoid game, it was rarely used since it was gated behind a large experience requirement. Since eMush is a non-profit project, we've decided to get rid of the experience cost and let users pick their skills freely. I guess that you're starting to see the problem: this powerful skill became almost mandatory for the mush team and used almost every time, thus breaking the balance between mushes and humans. We decided reluctantly to remove it. It may come back in a renewed and adapted form in the future once we get more feedback!

In the meantime, enjoy this rare opportunity of shaking things up in the Daedalus: WAKE UP, THE MUSH IS HERE!
